Baltimore, MD---The Marist College women's tennis team was defeated by Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe, Loyola College, 6-1 this afternoon.

In singles play Amanda Doetsch (Freehold, NJ) earned the win at number two singles over Carolyn Pilkington, 6-0, 6-4. Other close singles matches were at number five singles with Jennifer Edwards (Baldwinsville, NY), who lost a challenging match 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles action, at number one doubles, the Red Fox duo of Doetsch and Diana Perachio (Newtown, CT) defeated Nancy Turnblacer and Alison Popp, 8-4.

The Red Foxes return to action on Tuesday, April 9th, as they travel to Loudonville, NY, to take on Siena College. The match is set to begin at 3:30 PM.
