New Haven, CT - The Marist College volleyball team went 1-3 at the Yale Invitational that was played on Friday and Saturday, September 13th-14th. Marist is now 3-7 on the season.

The Red Foxes lost to Yale in the first match on Friday 3-0 (30-12, 30-23, 30-27). In the second match on Friday, Marist defeated Sacred Heart 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-16) to earn a split on the first day. Christina Brozek (Fair Lawn, NJ) led the Red Foxes with 17 kills on Friday for a .486 hitting percentage. Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA) tallied 58 assists over the two matches.

On Saturday, Marist lost to Memphis 3-0 (30-25, 30-18, 30-25), and Lehigh 3-2 (26-30, 30-24, 30-26, 27-30, 17-15). Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led the Red Foxes with 28 kills on the day while Cochrane added 77 assists.

Brozek was selected to the All-Tournament Team as she had 41 kills during the Yale Invitational.

The Red Foxes return to action on Tuesday, September 17th, when they travel to Hempstead, NY to play the Hofstra Pride.
