Hartford, CT - The Marist College women's volleyball team defeated the Sacred Heart University Pioneers 3-0 (30-26, 30-27, 30-24) at the Hartford Fall Invitational today. With the victory, the Red Foxes improved their record to 2-1 on the season.

Sophomore Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led the Red Fox attack with 11 kills and eight digs on the afternoon. Ryann Gillen (Paola, KS) added eight kills for a .500 hitting percentage. Gillen also had 18 assists, while Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA) tallied 12 assists.

The Red Foxes continue play Saturday in the Hartford Fall Invitational with two matches. The first match is against Auburn University at 11 a.m., followed by a match against Sam Houston State University at 4:00 p.m.
