Marist Women's Soccer Falls To Bucknell 1-0

Poughkeepsie, NY-The Marist College women's soccer team lost to Bucknell, 1-0, on Leonidoff Field this afternoon.

The Red Foxes played a strong game despite being outshot 20-8. The lone goal came from Bucknell midfielder, Emily Keber, off a corner kick by teammate Michelle Santonacita in the 70th minute.

Marist goalkeepers Mellanie Nai (Suffield, CT) and Meredith Fabain (Merrick, NY) each played 45 minutes in goal for the Red Foxes. Fabain recorded eight in the second half, while allowing one goal. Nai, who started the game for Marist, made seven saves in the contest.

The Red Foxes next game will be against Navy in Annapolis, MD, September 13th, at 7:00 p.m. Marist returns home to host Providence on Sunday, September 15th at 2:00 p.m.
