Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist College men's soccer team dropped to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Siena 1-0 tonight on Leonidoff Field. The Red Foxes are now 3-3 on home turf while undefeated on the road.

Marist (8-3-1/3-2-0 MAAC) would play a man short for the latter part of the second half, however continue to press as they out-shot the Saints 15-8. Sophomore forward Benjamin Castor (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot) would lead the Red Foxes attack with four shots on the night. Junior Mike Valenti (Sickerville, NJ/Paul VI) would lead the Marist defense with six saves for the game.

The lone goal of the game would come at 67:02 mark when junior midfielder Joe Vitale (Scotia, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) crossed the ball to the head of senior forward Paul Ciovacco (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) who placed the ball into the upper left corner of the Red Fox net.

The Red Foxes will again return to Leonidoff Field when they host MAAC rival Iona on Friday, October 24th at 7:00pm.
