Poughkeepsie, NY - The Red Foxes continue to search for win #11,which would place their record one better than last season, as they dropped 3-1 to non-conference rival Binghamton tonight in the McCann Center. Marist extends their skid to four games while Binghamton breaks their two game skid.
The Red Foxes (10-19/2-3MAAC) would dig themselves out of a one game deficit to steam-roll over the Bearcats 30-15 for the second game. Marist however would then drop the next two games 30-23, 30-27.
Freshman Jaime Kenworthy (Aston, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) collected a game leading 15 kills and two service aces while Freshman outside hitter Stefanie Miksch (Austin, TX/James Bowie) posted a double double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Senior middle blocker Christina Brozek (Fairlawn, NJ/Fairlawn) collected 10 kills and three block solos while freshman middle blocker Sally Hanson (Guerneville,CA/El Molino) added 11 kills to the Red Fox cause. Sophomore setter Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA/El Dorado) chipped in 44 assists while Katie Lux (Wantagh, NY/Sacred Heart) collected 17 digs on the game.
Junior outside hitter Michele Heck (Chicago, Ill/Resurrection) posted a double double with 10 kills and 13 digs for the Bearcats. Junior outside hitter Morgan Jimerson (Grandview, NYNyack) collected a team high 14 kills while freshman middle hitter Megan Hoag (Brunswick, OH/ Padua Franciscan) and junior Anne Crocus (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) earned 12 and 13 kills apiece.
The Red Foxes will travel to Lawrenceville, NJ to face MAAC arch nemesis Rider on Friday, October 24th at 7:00pm.
