Box Score

Jersey City, NJ - The Red Foxes would leave St. Peter's with the sour taste of defeat as they fell 4-1 today to the Peacocks. Despite the score the game was more like a cock fight as both teams battled for victory.

St. Peter's would open up the scoring at the 10:22 minute of the game when junior Carlos Villacres (Brooklyn, NY/Grover Cleveland) knocked in a feed from teammates Chris Megaloudis (Queens, NY/Monsignor McClancy) and Rinaldo Chambers (Brooklyn, NY/Humanities).

The Red Foxes (9-5-1/4-4 MAAC) would not stay down long as sophomore forward Benjamin Castor (Richboro, PA/Council Rock) answered back 12 minutes later, netting a shot from 10 yards away with assistance from junior midfielder Matt Flaherty (Fishkill, NY/John Jay). The score would then stay at a dead heat for the next 45 minutes of play.

The Red Foxes would finish 14 shots on goal and eight saves on the game. This will mark the first loss for the Red Foxes on the road since the season started.

Marist will play their last game of regular season on Sunday, November 2nd when they travel to Manhattan College. Kick off is scheduled for 10:00am.
