Fairfield, CT - Marist volleyball defeated Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Fairfield in five games tonight at Alumni Hall. The Red Foxes are now 10-15 on the season, which ties last years record. Marist has 10 games left on the season.

The Red Foxes (10-15/2-0) would take the first two games 30-25, 33-31, drop the next two games 30-17, 30-22 to take the match to the deciding fifth game to seal the win 15-11.

Freshman outside hitter Jaime Kenworthy (Aston, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) led the Marist offense with 15 kills. Junior setter Amy Gillespie (Lebo, KS/NE Oklahoma A&M) collected a double double with 12 kills and 12 digs while freshman outside hitter Stefanie Miksch (Austin, TX/James Bowie) also posted a double double with 10 kills and a team high 17 digs.

Sophomore setter Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA/El Dorado) chipped in 42 of the 49 total assists on the evening.

The Red Foxes will have the weekend off as they look forward to their next MAAC match when they host Manhattan College on Wednesday, October 15th in the McCann Center at 7:00pm.
