Marist Set Record Straight with Siena

Orlando, FL - The Marist College men's soccer team came out for revenge as they blanked MAAC rival Siena 3-0 today in the second round of games at the MAAC Championship.

Sophomore forward Ben Castor (Richboro, PA/Council Rock) would be the first to score as he netted his third goal of the season off an assist from freshman midfielder Keith Detelj (Sayville, NY.Connequot). Detelj would close out the first half of scoring at the 40:55 minute of play off an assist from junior midfielder Robert Van Dyke (Arnold, MD/St. Mary's).

Junior David Musinski would close the game with a penalty kick at the 74:15 minute of play.

Junior Mike Valenti (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul IV) would collect eight saves on the game as the Saint fired 13 shots throughout the contest.

The Red Foxes will now face # one seed Loyola on Saturday, November 8th at 10:00am. The winner of that game will face the winner of the Rider St. Peter's game in the Championship game played on Sunday, November 9th.
