St. Bonaventure, NY-The Marist College women's tennis team defeated the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 6-1, this afternoon in a non-conference match-up. The Red Foxes are now 8-1 on the season.

In singles competition, freshman Tara Dolan (Hopewell Junction, NY) defeated her competition in straight sets (6-0, 6-0), while other freshman Colleen Kelly (Poughkeepsie, NY) defeated Kasey Mutzel, 6-2, 6-3. Diana Perachio (Newtown, Conn.) won her match against Jasmine Jaysingh in two sets, 6-0, 6-2. Sophomore Courtney McGeever (Wickliffe, OH) was victorious by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Yana Krugly (Staten Island, NY) defeated Michelle Kearney, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

In doubles action, Yana Tihonko (Brooklyn, NY) and Krugly defeated Jaysingh and Natalie Rumpel, 8-3. Also, Katie Szymanski (Scituate, Mass.) and Dolan won their match, 8-2, over Mutzel and Erin Sullivan.

The Red Foxes return to action Wednesday, April 2nd, when they compete against Army at West Point, NY at 6:30 p.m.
