West Point, NY- The Marist College women's tennis team was swept for the first time this season, falling to Army, 7-0 this evening. The Red Foxes are now 8-2 on the season.

Army's Annie Collier defeated Yana Tikhonko (Brooklyn, NY) 6-0, 6-0 while Diana Perachio (Newtown, Conn.) fell to Marissa Limsiaco 6-1, 6-0. In third singles competition, Courtney McGeever (Wickliffe, OH) retired after getting down 3-0 to Megan Noble. Freshmen Colleen Kelly (Poughkeepsie, NY) and Tara Dolan (Hopewell Junction, NY) both lost their singles matches as well.

In doubles action, Perachio and McGeever fell 8-3 while Tihonko and Yana Krugly (Staten Island, NY) lost 8-6. Kathryn Szymanski (Scituate, MA) and Dolan were defeated 8-1 in their match.

The Red Foxes return to action Saturday, April 5th when they host the Loyola College Greyhounds at 12:00 p.m.
