Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist College volleyball team sent the match against Central Connecticut into four games, however they fell short three points dropping to the Blue Devils with a final 1-3. The Red Foxes are now 0-4 on the season while the Blue Devils collected their first win of the season with a 1-0 record.

Freshman outside hitter Stefanie Miksch (Austin, TX/James Bowie) collected a team high 12 kills while classmate Sally Hanson (Guerneville, CA/El Molino) earned 10 kills. Senior middle blocker Christina Brozek (Fair Lawn, NJ/ Fair Lawn) served a team leading four aces while sophomore setter Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA/El Dorado) chipped in 40 assists.

Junior middle blocker Jennifer Cote (Powell River, BC/Brooks Sr. Sec) dished out 16 kills while classmate outside hitter Shannon Verity (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) and sophomore outside hitter Chantelle Bowden (Chilliwack, BC/Highroad Academy) chipped in 14 and 15 kills respectively.

The Red Foxes will take to the road again this weekend as they head to Williamsburg, VA to take part in the William & Mary Tournament. The Red Foxes will face North Carolina A&M on Friday, September 5 at 5:00pm. Marist will continue on Saturday, September 6 when they match up against Belmont at 2:00 pm and William & Mary at 7:00pm. The Blue Devils will travel to UMES tournament to face Norfolk State on Friday.
