Williamsburg, VA - Marist College volleyball concluded the William and Mary Tournament with a 1-6 record on the season. The Red Foxes fell to North Carolina A&M 3-2, defeated Belmont 3-2, and dropped to host William and Mary 3-0.
Senior middle blocker Christina Brozek (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) collected a team high 14 kills against North Carolina A&M while freshman outside hitter Kim McEarthon (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) posted 10 kills and a team leading three aces on the game.
The Red Foxes came hungry for a win against Belmont as freshman outside hitter Stefanie Miksch (Austin, TX/James Bowie) lead Marist with 19 kills and 16 digs. Brozek and McEarthon collected 13 and 14 kills respectively while junior setter Amy Gillespie (Lebo, KS/NE Oklahoma A&M) post 10 kills. Sophomore setter Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA/El Dorado) chipped in 56 assists and a team high three aces on the game.
Crochrane garnered an All-Tournament pick finishing with 31 assists against host William and Mary. Miksch collected nine kills while Brozek and McEarthon posted six a piece.
The Red Foxes will be in action once again on Wednesday, September 10 when they travel to Madison, NJ to face non-conference rival Farleigh Dickinson University at 6:00pm.
