Final Stats

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Sally Hanson (Guerneville, Calif.) hammered out a dozen kills on .524 hitting in two games played tonight, but it wasn't enough to get Marist past Central Connecticut.

The Blue Devils worked quickly in game one, winning 30-20, but Marist rallied in games two and three. Hanson and Jaime Kenworthy (Aston, Pa.) boosted the Marist offense in game two, but the Red Foxes fell 30-25. In an exciting game three, Central Connecticut escaped with a 31-29 victory to win the match.

Kenworthy finished the day with nine kills and nine digs, while Christy Lukes (Mesa, Ariz.) recorded eight kills.

Hanson added three blocks and one service ace to her tally for the night. Senior Katie Lux (Wantagh, N.Y.) paced the defense with 19 digs overall including eight in a solid game-one performance.

Chelsea Magee powered the Blue Devils with 10 kills along with five solo blocks. Brynn Good was dynamic, falling just short of a triple double on 40 assists, 14 digs and eight kills.

The Red Foxes are back in action this weekend when they host Canisius at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
