EDISON, N.J.- Freshman David Raucci (Clermont, N.Y./Red Hook) was named the MAAC Runner Of The Week by the conference on September 19. Raucci earned the honor after his first place finish at the Rider Invitational on September 17.

Raucci lead the way in Lawrenceville, N.J. on the 17th, completing the 8K course in a time of 25:27.5. His effort helped the Red Foxes to the team championship at the event. Marist finished in first place with a score of 34 points.

Raucci's first career win comes two weeks after an impressive 9th place finish in his first collegiate race at the Stony Brook Invitational. There he completed the 5K course in 16:38.52.

Raucci has paced the Red Foxes in both of their events so far this fall. Raucci and the Marist Men's cross country team will be in action again this Saturday at the Iona Meet of Champions. The meet will take place at Van Cortlandt Park in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
