POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist Women's Soccer team dropped a 2-0 home decision to Loyola (7-5-2, 5-0 MAAC) on Sunday afternoon. The Greyhounds used two second half tallies to secure the victory.

The game was played scoreless through the first half, as Marist held Loyola without a shot through the first 45 minutes. The Foxes held a 3-0 advantage in the category for the half.

Loyola opened the scoring at 56:15 when Lea Day scored the eventual game winner. Day through a shot to the net that found its way through Marist keeper Caitlin Nazarechuk's (Ringwood, N.J.) legs. Loyola would add an insurance goal at 61:24 when Colleen Kinealy headed in a free kick from Caitlin McCusker for the final 2-0 advantage.

Nazarechuk would end the game with two saves. Loyola would hold an edge in shots in the game at 9-4. Corner kicks for the game were even at three apiece, while fouls were 21-17 against the Greyhounds.

With the loss Marist falls to 4-10 on the season an 2-4 in MAAC play. The Red Foxes will be in action again on Tuesday night when they travel to New York City for a date with Columbia.
