NEW PALTZ, N.Y.-The Marist women's tennis squad defeated Fairfield by a score of 4-3 Tuesday afternoon at SUNY New Paltz to run its record to 8-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in league play. Fairfield dropped to 8-11 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC.

Inge Le-Grange, Yana Tikhonko and Mirelva Colon picked up singles victories for Marist, while the Red Foxes swept the doubles point.

The women will now turn their attention to a noon match tomorrow at Siena in a showdown between the league's two undefeated squads.
