Final Stats
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The Marist College women's volleyball team gave first-year head coach Tom Hanna his first victory as the Red Foxes defeated University of Maryland-Eastern Shore 3-1 (30-24, 30-17, 24-30, 30-18) at the McCann Center on Friday.
Senior outside hitter Jaime Kenworthy (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) paced the Red Foxes with 18 kills, 10 digs and three service aces. Freshman outside hitter Alexandra Schultze (Austin, Texas/James Bowie) added 14 kills and two aces.
Freshman setter Dawn Jan (Belleville, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) finished with 44 assists, just two off her career high, to go along with 12 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Kelsey Schaefer (Maria Stein, Ohio/Marion Local) led Marist in digs with 13.
For Maryland-Eastern Shore (3-6), Holiday Eller finished with a team-best 17 kills. Caylin Woodward added 13 kills and 10 digs.
Marist (1-7) will host Maryland-Eastern Shore again tomorrow at noon at the McCann Center.
