Final Stats

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Siena Wednesday night (31-33, 30-26, 26-30, 15-30) at the McCann Center. Sophomore setter Dawn Jan (Belleville, N.J.) had her sixth double-double of the season with 45 assists and 10 digs. Marist moves to 6-12 on the season and 2-4 in MAAC play.

Sophomore outside hitter Alexandra Schultz (Austin, Tex.) led the Red Foxes with 20 kills and hit .318. Joanna Foss (Northville, Mich.) added 12 kills, hitting .344 for the match while also getting seven digs.

Game one saw Marist get the early lead at 8-3. The Red Foxes would keep the lead until 26-21, when Siena went on a 7-1 run to tie the game at 27-27. The two teams would trade points until the Saints would take hold of the game at 31-31 to win game one 33-31.

Marist would come back in game two behind seven kills from Schultz to win 30-26. The Red Foxes held Siena to a .133 hitting percentage, the Saints' lowest of the match. Siena would bounce back in game three, getting out to a 21-13 lead and holding on to a 30-26 win. The Saints' would clinch the match in game four, hitting .517 for the game en route to a 30-15 win.

Burgandy McCurty led all players with 25 kills, hitting .622 with three blocks. Setter April London added 56 assists, while Aubrey Bobo had a match-high 12 digs. Siena is now 11-3 on the season, and 6-0 in the MAAC.

Marist will return to the McCann Center Saturday night with a 6:00 p.m. match against Canisius.
