Marist (3-1) dominated the first half, scoring the first seven points on a Viani three-pointer and jump shots from Lynzee Johnson (Bellbrook, Ohio) and Rachele Fitz (Seven Hills, Ohio). The Red Foxes would score the first five points of the second half on a Nikki Flores (Montvale, N.J.) layup and a Meg Dahlman (Spencerport, N.Y.) three-pointer to go ahead 35-14. Dartmouth would try to get back in the game, but Marist was a perfect 14 of 14 from the free-throw line, which kept the lead in the twenties. The Red Foxes would go on a 13-2 run with 10:21 to go in the game, sparked by a Fitz layup. A Caron triple and Fitz layup would cap the run, which put Marist up 54-25 with 7:29 to go, their largest lead of the game. From there, the Red Foxes would cruise to the 71-35 win, their third in a row.

Caron was four from five from three-point distance in the game, as Viani was two for five. Fitz finished in double-figures for the third straight game, putting in 10 points and grabbing six rebounds. Flores added eight points and four assists. The Red Foxes held a 42-36 rebounding edge as Dahlman, Johnson, and Caron each had seven boards, with Smrdel retrieving six caroms. Marist assisted on 16 of their 24 baskets.

Dartmouth (0-3) was led by Kristen Craft's 11 points, with Margaret Smith adding four points and a game-high nine rebounds. The Big Green was held to 22.4% shooting from the field.
