Final Stats

EASTON, Pa. - The Marist football team suffered a 49-10 loss to Lafayette in its season opener on Saturday. The Red Foxes scored their lone touchdown on a fourth quarter pass from senior quarterback Stephen McGrath (Manasquan, N.J.) to senior wide receiver Tim Keegan (Middlebury, Conn.).

Keegan had four receptions for the Red Foxes, and sophomore wideout Will Brown (Windsor, Conn.) led Marist with 61 yards receiving. Running back Obozua Ehikioya (West Hempstead, N.Y.) led Marist with 39 rushing yards.

Senior co-captains Daniel Diaz (Newfield, N.Y.) and Dan Smith (Reston, Va.) led Marist with eight tackles apiece.

The Red Foxes will return to action next Saturday with a 9 p.m. EDT contest at San Diego of the Pioneer League.
