POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist volleyball team won their second MAAC conference match of the season, defeating the Rider Broncs 3-0 (30-23, 31-29, 30-27) Thursday night. Sophomore Alexandra Schultze (Austin, Tex.) led the Red Foxes with a match-high 17 kills, hitting .250.

Freshman Dawn Jan (Belleville, N.J.) had a match-high 37 assists. She also, along with Kelsey Schaefer (Maria Stein, Ohio), led Marist with nine digs.

Katrina Stehle led Rider with nine kills, hitting .286. Libero Amy Jeary had a team-high nine digs for the Broncs. Marist outhit Rider .231-.151 for the match and also outdug the Broncs 45-39. In the deciding game, the Red Foxes held Rider to a .048 hitting percentage. With the win, Marist moves to 6-11 on the season, and 2-4 in MAAC play.

Marist will return to action on October 3 against Siena at the McCann Center. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
