Final Stats

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Marist volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Central Connecticut State in its first match of the Trident Classic on Friday, falling by game scores of 30-14, 30-24, 30-20. Sophomore outside hitter Alexandra Schultze (Austin, Texas) led Marist with 10 kills in the match.

Freshman middle blocker Allie Burke (Alpharetta, Ga.) had six kills and three blocks for Marist, and sophomore setter Dawn Jan (Belleville, N.J.) added six digs.

With the loss, the Red Foxes fell to 4-5 on the season. They will continue play in the Trident Classic with a pair of matches on Saturday, as Marist will take on host Navy at 1 p.m. followed by a match against New Jersey Institute of Technology at 4 p.m.
