POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's tennis team had a three-match win streak snapped on Sunday as they fell to the Loyola Greyounds 7-0 at the East Campus Tennis Pavilion. Marist is now 3-8 overall and 3-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

The Red Foxes closest match came out of sophomore Jeannie Lukin (Kinderhook, N.Y.) who went to three sets with Judy Lite. The final score was 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

At first doubles the Red Foxes tandem of Erin McCarthy (Salem, N.J.) and Mirelva Colon (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) put up a solid fight, but fell short in the tiebreak. The set score was 9-8 (3).

Marist will return to action on Tuesday, April 7 for a MAAC match with Fairfield. The scheduled start time is 3 p.m.
