FAIRFIELD, CONN. - Freshman Erin McCarthy (Salem, N.J.) earned Marist's lone win in a 6-1 loss to Fairfield in women's tennis action on Tuesday afternoon. After winning its last two matches, the Red Foxes have dropped two straight contests to Loyola and now Fairfield (12-3, 6-1 MAAC).

McCarthy split her first two sets en route to her victory over Dana Postupack. The final score was 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (3). McCarthy has alternated wins and losses in her last seven outings.

The Red Foxes will host their final Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) match on Thursday. First serve with the Rider Broncs is scheduled for 3 p.m.
