TRENTON, N.J. -- Canisius first baseman Brian Burton hit a three-run double in the bottom of the eighth, giving the Golden Griffins a 5-4 win in the championship round of the 2009 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Baseball Championship. The teams will now play a winner-take-all championship game, which will start at 4:10 p.m.

Burton's hit gave the Golden Griffins their first lead of the game. The Red Foxes had taken a 4-2 lead in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by sophomore third baseman Ricky Pacione (Newburgh, N.Y.) and an RBI single by red-shirt sophomore catcher Bryce Nugent.
