CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The Marist women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to the #10 Boston College Eagles in a road match on Friday afternoon. Freshman Jamie Balzarini (Holbrook, N.Y.) made seven saves in goal.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead as Brooke Knowlton put away the rebound of a Victoria DiMartino shot. Knowlton scored her third goal of the season in the eighth minute. Boston College would add two more goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room.
Boston College added a fourth goal in the second half off the head of Kelly Henderson to arrive at the final score.
The Marist women's soccer team returns to the field on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m., as it takes on the Colgate Raiders at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field.
