Marist Comes Up Short At Fordham, Drop 1-0 Decision

BRONX, N.Y. - The Marist men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Jack Coffey Field against the Fordham Rams on Friday night. Veer Lakhan-Joseph scored the lone goal in the match in the 66th minute for the host Rams.

Marist (3-1-1) was outshot in the match, 6-4, but the Rams only put one more shot on goal than the visitors. Senior Matthew Boyd (Carle Place, N.Y.) put Marist's only shot on goal.

Junior Joe Pilla (Watertown, Conn.) made one save in goal for the Red Foxes. His record fell to 3-1-1 this season.

Marist will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 20 as it travels to Washington D.C. for a match with the Howard Bison. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
