Marist Alum Brandon Tierney To Broadcast Live From Alma Mater On Friday, Jan. 29

Jan. 21, 2010

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - On Friday, Jan. 29, Marist alum Brandon Tierney will be returning to his alma mater to broadcast his radio show live on ESPN 1050. "The Brandon Tierney Show" will be held in the Cabaret, located in Marist College's Student Center, from 10 a.m., until noon on ESPN Radio's New York City affiliate. Following the show, a question-and-answer session will take place between Tierney and Marist students.

Tierney's stop at Marist is one of eight tri-state area schools he will visit as part of the 2010 BT College Tour. In his visit to Marist, he will be joined by Marist men's basketball head coach Chuck Martin, the Marist band, cheerleaders, and much more. The first 100 students who attend will receive an official BT College Tour T-shirt.

Tierney is a 1996 graduate of Marist who earned his degree in Journalism. While at Marist, Tierney played four seasons on the baseball team from 1993-96, appearing in 118 career games while compiling a fielding percentage of .973.

In addition to his daily radio show, Tierney routinely handles some of the station's Knicks coverage, as well as being a regular contributor to the Mets' cable network, SportsNet New York (SNY).
