DERBY, CONN. - The Marist men's and women's rowing teams competed in the Head of the Housatonic on Saturday in Derby, Conn. The men's varsity 4 crew finished fifth overall in its race with a time of 18:13.046.

In the women's varsity 4 race, the first of two Marist boats competing in the race crossed the finish line in 20:09.031 for a tenth-place finish. Marist's other boat finished in 12th place with a time of 21:02.003.

In the men's varsity 8 race, the first of two Marist boats finished seventh overall with a time of 15:35.881. Marist's second boat crossed the finish line in 17:57.319 for a 12th place finish.

In the women's varsity 8 race, Marist's two boats finished 14th and 16th overall with times of 18:20.843 and 18:54.674, respectively.

The Marist rowing teams will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 31 when they compete in the Head of the Fish in Saratoga, N.Y.
