BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Marist men's cross country team tied for 25th place overall out of 42 teams competing in the 8K Paul Short Run on Friday which was held on the campus of Lehigh University. Marist and Kent State each tallied 677 points overall, as the Red Foxes finished ahead of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) rival Iona which placed 29th overall.
Making his season debut, junior Adam Vess (Cromwell, Conn.) who came in 79th overall with a time of 25:06.
Freshman Ken Walshak (Babylon, N.Y.) turned in a personal-best time of 25:25 in the distance, which placed him 141st overall.
The Red Foxes return to action on Friday, October 8 when they compete in the Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. while the men's race will get underway at 2:45 p.m.
