WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Marist women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision on Saturday afternoon at the Litchenberg Tennis Center on the campus of the United States Military Academy. Marist picked up just one victory on the day at first doubles behind an 8-5 decision from sophomore Erin McCarthy (Salem, N.J.) and freshman Joana Sun (Gales Ferry, Conn.).

The pair defeated Patricia Vollmer and Larraine Saavedra at first doubles. Marist won 8-5.

The Red Foxes were swept in singles matches; however, McCarthy and Sun took their opponents to a third set tiebreak before each one lost. McCarthy fell to Vollmer 6-2, 5-7, 10-5, while Sun lost her match to Jurelle Mendoza 6-0, 4-6, 10-7.

Marist will return to action on Sunday, March 7 against NJIT at the Litchenberg Tennis Center.
