The Marist women's crew team was finally able to get into the water on Saturday at the University of Delaware, and it could not have gone better. The Red Foxes finished either first or second in all four races including taking both top spots in the Varsity 4.
In the Varsity 8, Marist came in second in the Varsity 8 race before finishing second and fifth in the Novice 8. The Novice 4 squad won its race with a time of 20:42.4, almost a whole two minutes before second-place Delaware.
"It was a great day for us," head coach Tom Sanford said. "It was a great way for our new freshman and novices to begin their rowing careers here at Marist.
