Day 1 Results
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Marist senior diver Brian Bolstad (Highland, N.Y.) competed in the men's 1-meter diving competition at the NCAA Zone A Championships on Friday afternoon. When his 12 dives were complete, he found himself as the highest finishing diver in Marist history at an NCAA diving event.
Bolstad completed the morning preliminary round in 10th place with 270.60 points. He was competing against 45 other divers in the prelims.
Being in the top 18, he made the six-dive final in the afternoon portion of the event. In the finals, he continued his strong diving to finish with a grand total of 546.35, good enough for 10th place overall. Tenth was the highest placing for any other MAAC diver competing in the championship.
Bolstad will compete in the 3-meter event, his final collegiate event on Saturday at Navy.
