The Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement's Career Night

On Tuesday, November 27, 2012, The Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement collaborated with Enterprise Car Rentals and hosted a Career Night for all student-athletes. This particular event aimed to prepare student-athletes for their professional goals during and after college.

Participants met and networked amongst each other and with upper level management from Enterprise who were excited about assisting current student-athletes for the next stages in their chosen fields of study. Furthermore, the management representatives educated participants with information on how to stand out from the crowd and be the one chosen for their ideal internship and job.

Throughout the night, attendees were allowed to work in four different areas which included resume tips and preparation, discussions about the do's and don'ts while interviewing, how to write a successful cover letter and the best way to market yourself and enhance your networking skills.

Sophomore football player Joshua Royce enjoyed the night and was grateful for the opportunity.

"It really opened my eyes about the do's and dont's of the interviewing process, especially the resume, as well as about the effectiveness and benefits of networking."

Thank you to all the students who attended the Career Night which included the following: Daniel Gaynor, Matteo Giudici, Kristina Danella, Duell Smith, Katie Messina, David Lin, Chris Lorenz, and Chauncey Hirose-Hulbert.

The Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement in correlation with the NCAA's Student-Athlete Affairs Program, plans to have another networking event in the spring semester.
