BRONX, N.Y. – The Marist men's cross country team placed sixth at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships today at Van Cortlandt Park.
Sophomore John Lee (Wading River, N.Y.) finished first for the Red Foxes, posting a time of 26:50 for the 8K. Also placing were senior Ryan Scrudato (Westfield, N.J.) in 27th, sophomore Charles Ropes (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) in 33rd, Bryan Buttigieg in 36th, sophomore Ryan Colabella (Hauppage, N.Y.) in 37th, junior Ian Dorset (Clifton Park, N.Y.) in 43rd, and freshman Saad Baig (Staten Island, N.Y.) in 49th.
The Red Foxes posted a total of 151 points. For the 23rd consecutive year, Iona has claimed the MAAC title, posting 15 points.
