BRONX, N.Y. – The Marist men's cross country team placed 27th of 40 teams at the NCAA Division I Northeast Regionals today at Van Cortlandt Park. The Red Foxes posted a score of 746 throughout the 10K course.

Senior Ryan Scrudato (Westfield, N.J.) finished first for Marist with a time of 32:32.9, coming in 120th place. Sophomore Ryan Collabella (Hauppauge, N.Y.) finished five spots behind with a time of 32:36.3.

Syracuse claimed first place in the regionals, while Columbia took second in order to receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships. MAAC opponent Iona took third in the event with 81 points. The Red Foxes placed ahead of conference rivals Quinnipiac, Manhattan, Siena and Niagara.
