Marist Men's Soccer Falls To Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Marist men's soccer team fell to top 25 ranked Brown on Friday evening, 5-0. Goalkeeper Anthony Sokalski (London, Ontario) recorded eight saves for the Red Foxes.

The Bears had a strong half offensively, leading 4-0 heading into halftime. Jose Salama and Nate Pomeroy scored one goal each for Brown while Tariq Akeel tallied two.

Greg Davis (Jamacia, N.Y.) and Steven Arraiano (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) recorded one shot on goal each for Marist.

Tommy Arns concluded scoring for the Bears in the 81st minute, going up 5-0.

The men's soccer team begins MAAC play with a road game Saturday Oct. 5 at Rider. The Red Foxes return home for a two game slate; Oct. 9 against Canisius and Oct. 12 against Saint Peter's. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
