Women's Swimming and Diving Trumps Boston College 170-128

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist women's swimming and diving team claimed their eighth victory of the season, pushing past Boston College with a 170-128 win. The Red Foxes took first place in 10 of the meet's 13 events.

To kick off the meet, the women's 200 yard medley relay claimed first place with a time of 1:50.20. The relay consisted of freshman Colleen Lampe (East Setauket, NY.), freshman Isabella Morreale (Short Hills, NJ.), senior Emily Miles (Long Valley, N.J.) and senior Maddie Arciello (Missoula, Mont.).

For the Red Foxes, senior Bonnie Orr (Fresno, Calif.) claimed first place in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:43.72. She also swept the 500 yard freestyle event, taking first with a time of 5:19.26.

Arciello added a first place finish for Marist in the 200 yard freestyle (1:56.37) as well as the 50 yard freestyle (24.82) and 100 yard freestyle (54.20).

Lampe also took first place for the team in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.79), the 200 yard backstroke (2:10.81), and the 200 yard individual medley (2:15.17).

After claiming another Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Diver of the Week award, Tobias followed suit with her performances by claiming first place in the one meter dive with a score of 270.53, as well as the three meter dive with a score of 271.43.

The Red Foxes move on to host Seton Hall next Saturday, Jan. 25. The meet is set to kick off at 1 p.m., as Marist will celebrate its seniors for Senior Day in their last home meet of the season.
