POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Long-time McCann Center housekeeper and Marist employee Nate Jordan retired on Tuesday after 37 years of dedicated service to the College. During a special luncheon held in the McCann Center, Jordan was presented with a 'Block M' for his contributions to the Athletics Department.
Jordan started at Marist in 1977 and spent his entire career in the McCann Center. He is one of the few remaining employees who has been working in the building since it opened. Jordan watched the growth of the Marist Athletics Department from its Division III status when he began, to its present standing as a Division I institution in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Pioneer Football League.
“For 37 years, Nate Jordan has been an invaluable resource for the McCann Center,” Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations Darren McCormack said. “Many of us do not know the McCann Center without Nate. We thank Nate for his dedicated service over the years and wish him the best of luck in retirement.”
Nate's hardworking attitude and positive spirit will be remembered. The Marist Athletics Department thanks Nate Jordan for his long-lasting and dedicated service to the department.
