NEW ROCHELLE, New York -  Three Red Foxes posted double-doubles in the Marist volleyball team's 3-1 victory at Iona on Oct. 31. Marist moved to 16-8 overall and 9-4 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with the win.

The Red Foxes took the first set 25-16, lost the second 25-20, and won the last two by scores of 25-18 and 25-23, respectively.

Senior Kelsey Lahey slammed a match-high 18 kills alongside 12 digs. Leading all players in assists, junior Amanda Schlegel finished with 40 and added 10 digs and 1.5 blocks. Sophomore Kelsey Ediger contributed 12 kills and 15 digs.

A pair of kills from senior Courtney Shaw led Marist to an early 5-1 edge. The lead ballooned as high as nine points two times before junior Lexi Millington closed out the frame with one of her two service aces.

The Gaels fought back in a second set that was tied 10 times before Iona picked up 10 of the last 15 points. The tide shifted in Marist's favor however, as it led the entire third set with the help of 13 kills as a team. Iona tied the final set at 21 after ripping off five straight points, but a kill from Shaw coming right out of a timeout sealed the match for Marist.

Iona freshman Jessica Paolucci tied a match high with 23 digs and senior Natalie Ziskin posted team highs with a pair of service aces and 21 assists.

The Red Foxes finished the month of October 7-2 and will vie for their fourth straight win at 1 p.m. Nov. 1 against Manhattan.
