BRONX, New York – The Marist women's cross country team placed 13th in the NYC Metropolitan Championship held at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx, Friday afternoon. The Red Foxes raced a split roster and scored 56-63-66-73-76 (77) overall.
Jacqueline Bunce was the first Marist runner to finish on the day, placing with a time of 21:24.5, followed by Bianca Luparello (21:43.6), Olivia Lappas (22:07.7), Allison Dellicarri (22:53.3), Shannon Gildea (23:13.0), and then Kristi Licursi (23:13.8).
Fordham took the overall event with a team score of 27, NYU placed 2nd with a score of 71, and Rutgers placed third with a team score of 89. Runners from Manhattan, Columbia, Seton Hall, Farliegh Dickinson, and LIU Post also participated in the meet.
The Red Foxes head to Princeton, New Jersey next week for the Albany Invitaional. The one day meet takes place on Saturday, October 17th.
