LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida - The no. 3 Marist men's soccer team finished the 2015 season with a 7-9-2 overall record after falling to no. 6 Siena, 1-0, in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Quarterfinals on Nov. 6 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Red Foxes fired five shots inside the final 10 minutes but could not break through Siena's defense. A penalty kick goal from sophomore back Milorad Sobot in the final minute of the first half was all the offense the Saints needed to advance to the semifinals to face no. 2 Rider.

"It was a frustrating day," head coach Matt Viggiano said. "Siena got a penalty kich and made it stand up. We played the right way the whole game and had some chances in the box but it didn't go our way."

Sophomore goalkeeper Mark Rajovic made five saves to keep Marist in the contest while sophomore Brandon Curtis and freshman Bruce Jeter had three shots apiece.

Jeter's first shot came in the 50th minute as Marist began to pick up the tempo in the second half. The Red Foxes generated a couple headers on net from Curtis with 5:04 remaining in the contest and Jeter fewer than two minutes. Marist tallied 13 shots all together.

"I'm proud of our outgoing seniors because they brought us back to a place we hadn't been for awhile," Viggiano said. "We're still a very young team and we'll be back hungry next year."
