LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey – The Marist women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over the Rider Broncs in the team's first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest of the season Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Foxes rebounded from a rare loss from the number one singles position to win the rest of the matches on the day. The freshmen duo of Caroline Lozo and Chloe Lant won 6-0 from the second doubles position and the team of Nikki Rohan and Callie Morlock picked up a 6-1 win from the third doubles position to secure the doubles point for the Red Foxes.

Karlene Pang and Claire Schmitz rebounded from their loss in doubles to pick up wins at the first and fourth singles position, respectively. Pang won her match 6-3, 6-3 while Schmitz won her's 6-0, 6-1. Lozo, Lant, and Rohan also picked up singles wins to go along with their strong performances in doubles and Elizabeth Brozovich, seeing her first action of the day, picked up a nice 6-0, 6-0 win from the fifth singles position.

The Red Foxes won't play another conference game until late January but head out to the Army Invitational this weekend for three days of action from Saturday, September 26 to Monday, September 28.
