"Like the Monmouth game, we didn't give in,” Marist head coach Mike Maker said. “We played wire-to-wire. We're going through some tough times right now. All I want is for our guys to give everything they have, and tonight they did.”

Siena's Brett Bisping had game highs of 27 points and 18 rebounds. Nico Clareth added 13 points off the bench, and Lavon Long finished with 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Parker opened the scoring with two free throws 49 seconds into the contest, but Siena took the lead for good on its next possession on a three-pointer by Ryan Oliver. The Saints skipped out to a 14-4 lead, and led by double digits for the final 27:39.
