POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Half of the Marist men's and women's cross country team will travel to Princeton, NJ for the Princeton Invitational while the other half travel to Albany, NY for the Albany Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Princeton Invitational, in its eighth year, will take place at West Windsor Fields of Princeton University. Last year, the course housed over 20 teams and nearly 400 athletes. The Red Fox women will kick off the morning with a 6K race at 9:00 AM and the men will follow with an 8K race at 9:45 AM.

The 50^th annual Albany Invitational, held on the campus of the University of Albany, is set to begin at 12:00 PM with the open race. Following is the women's championship 5k at 12:45 PM and the men's championship 8k race at 1:30 PM. In the 2015 cross country season, the women ran to a strong second place finish (82 points) with junior Mara Schiffhauer and senior Elizabeth Wasserman both snagging a spot in the top 12. The men's cross country team ran a close race and finished third overall (78 points) and included standout races by senior Steven Morrison (14^th, 26:00.9) and sophomore Palmer Weimann (19^th, 26.10.9).

The last time the cross country program hit the road for the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30, the Red Fox women set records for the most women finishing under 23 minutes (12) and the most women finishing under 42 minutes (21) in a 6K race, while placing 32^nd out of 45 teams in the race. Men's cross country had their highest finish in program history as the team concluded third overall out of 45 teams and saw their top 10 runners finish in the top 100.

Up next, the men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the MAAC Championship in Orlando, FL on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
