POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Red-shirt senior guard Khallid Hart of the Marist men's basketball team has been named Preseason First Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. As a team, the Red Foxes were picked to finish eighth in the preseason coaches' poll.
Hart is the first Red Foxes to be named Preseason First Team All-MAAC since the 2006-07, when Jared Jordan and Will Whittington both earned the honor. He enters the season with 1,306 career points, the 11th-highest total in program history.
Last season, Hart averaged 20.3 points per game, the highest total of any returning player in the conference. He finished in the conference top five in five statistical categories – minutes (first), scoring (second), steals (fourth), free-throw percentage (fifth), and three-pointers per game (fifth).
