BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania -- The Marist men's cross country team placed third overall out of 45 teams at the Paul Short Run Brown Race on Saturday, the highest finish in program history at the race. 

The Red Foxes also saw their top 10 runners finish in the top 100 out of 405 runners and had their top five runners finish within 35 seconds of each other. 

Spencer Johnson was the top overall finisher for Marist, placing 17th with a time of 25:03 and Alex Hogue finished second, placing 34th with a time of 25:21. Matt Baffuto placed 35th with a time of 25:21, Saad Baig placed 49th with a time of 25:31 and Steven Rizzo placed 67th with a time of 25:38 to round out the top five for the Red Foxes.

Up next, Marist will travel to Princeton, NJ for the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8th at 1:30 PM.
