NEW ROCHELLE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team and the Iona Gaels fought to a 3-3 tie Wednesday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action. The Red Foxes and Gaels traded goals and leads but in the end found themselves deadlocked after 110 minutes of action.

With the tie the Red Foxes move to 4-7-1 on the season and 0-3-1 in conference play. The Gaels now stand at 1-10-2 overall and 1-3-1 in MAAC play.

Iona struck first in the 36th minute capitalizing off a counter attack from a Marist goal that was waved off by offsides. The Gael's Amber Crispin played a through ball to Tamara McCarthy who knocked a shot high to the left side corner of goal, giving Iona a 1-0 lead.

Marist entered the half leading in shots 10-8 and shots on goal 5-4 but trailing on the scoreboard. Bowen led the Red Foxes in shots with four after the first half.

In the 58th minute Marist squared the score at 1-1 after a through ball from Ashlee Burke found Camille Bowen at the top of the box. Bowen snuck the ball beneath the charging keeper and onto net to tie the game. The goal was Bradley's 10th of the season.

Just 11 minutes later some nice one-two play from Burke and Juliette Loccisano found Keri Bradley in the box. Bradley placed the ball high in the middle of net, giving the Red Foxes a 2-1 lead.

Iona answered right away however, scoring again and tying the game just a minute after the Red Foxes had taken their first lead of the day. The Gael's second goal came from Marissa Dundas with an assist from Mariana Jaramillo.

The goal flurry wasn't done as a Marist corner kick and failed clear attempt by Iona found the head of Bianca Furci at the back post. Furci's header found goal, giving Furci her first goal of the season and the Red Foxes the lead in the 73rd minute.

Marist was almost sure of victory until 10 seconds remained in the game. Iona's Crispin found the back of the net for the second time this season and tied the game at 3-3, sending the match into overtime.

The Red Foxes ended the game with a 28-17 advantage in shots and an 8-1 edge in corner kicks. Makala Foley made six saves in net for the Red Foxes while Iona's Tiffany Martinez made 12 saves for the Gaels.

Up next the Red Foxes return home to host the Fairfield Stags on Saturday, October 8th. Kickoff for the Red Foxes annual "Pink-Out game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
