JERSEY CITY, New Jersey – The Marist women's tennis team returned to action and blanked the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 7-0, earlier today in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
The Red Foxes secured the doubles point with wins by the team of Caroline Lozo and Ariel Shulman and Sophia Moeller and Lisa Ventimiglia. Karlene Pang and Claire Schmitz also won their doubles paring, 6-4, but after the doubles point had been decided.
Marist carried the momentum into singles play as all six matches were won in straight sets. Shulman, Callie Morlock, and Elizabeth Brozovich finished their matches first to earn the victory for Marist. Schmitz, Pang, and Nikki Rohan also won singles matches on the day.
Marist is now 2-0 in conference action and take a break from conference play until April. The Red Foxes return to action on Sunday, February 7th against Albany in Schenectady, New York.
